Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress born in Berkeley on October 1, 1996. She is an actor, famous by her roles in Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022).
Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into the family of actors and filmmakers, both occupations which she's been pursuing. She made her debut when she was only nine years aged in Sergio Citti's film Sogni e Bisogni in 1988. she played the lead role in the debut film of Cristina Comencini, Zoo, and was part of the cast of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. She was later cast as Nanni Moretti's daughter in Red Wood Pigeon It was when she starred in Close Friends written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career really took off and she was able to move on from playing very young girls to larger, more sophisticated roles. Cannes International Film Festival received the movie well. Daria Nicole Nicolodi was Argento's loved actress, and she performed the role of a girl seeking to find her parents' killer in Trauma. Asia has collaborated with Dario Argento on three films, Trauma, The Stendhal Syndrome as well as The Phantom of the Opera. In Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a nozze, Asia's absorbed manner of character acting was utilized well. She co-starred with Carlo Verdone in Perdiamoci di vista as Arianna, a girl who is physically disabled. The complex and demanding character earned her an award: a David di Donatello award for Best actress. In 1995, she starred alongside Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again brought her a David di Donatello as well as a Grolla oro. Asia began directing in 1994. She released two shorts and an episode from the film De Generazione. In 1996 she made a documentary about her father, and AbelAsia, a film on the cult director Abel Ferrara. In 1998, Asia directed AbelAsia, which was awarded at the Rome Film Festival. Asia was the director of her first feature film Scarlet Diva (1999), where she was both the main actress in the film and the author of its screenplay. It premiered worldwide during May of 2000. The Williamsburg Film festival located in Brooklyn, New York awarded the film with a award.
