Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. He blends soul gospel jazz with R&B to create a unique mix. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway and at festivals in Europe. She has also performed at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Even though she lives in Atlanta currently, she is originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she started out as a musician singing and playing at the church in town. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B musical scene. In 2005 she took on the role of the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls the stage show of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained attention in the performances that took place over four days in The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing during the 2009 Obama Inauguration.
